Marietta, Georgia – Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care, a national provider of clinical home care for medically fragile children, has acquired Soft Touch Medical, LLC.

The company was a natural fit for Thrive SPC, which currently provides skilled pediatric home care in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. Late last year, Thrive SPC acquired The Pediatric Connection, a full-service pediatric home health care company in Virginia that offers respiratory therapy, home medical equipment, and enteral nutrition, as well as pediatric nursing.

“The acquisition of Soft Touch Medical and The Pediatric Connection increases our reach in the pediatric home care space and makes us one of the leading providers of medical equipment and supplies to pediatric patients in the United States,” according to Greg Serrao, Chairman, President, and CEO of Thrive SPC.

“We noted during due diligence the operating efficiency of Soft Touch, driven by strong operations management and highly competent team members,” said Serrao. “This acquisition brings Thrive SPC to Alabama and Georgia, extending our services across eight states, and broadens our equipment offerings, which we intend to bring to our other markets.”

Thrive SPC’s mission is to provide high quality clinical home care to medically fragile children so they can grow and flourish to their full potential. Founded in 2016, its goal is to be the provider of choice for parents, doctors, and referral sources, as well as the employer of choice for in-home clinical care providers.

Headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, and founded in 1997, Soft Touch is the leading regional provider of in-home durable medical equipment and services, primarily serving pediatric patients in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. Founded to address the needs of the increasing number of patients receiving in-home healthcare treatment, Soft Touch provides a broad array of medical equipment and services to chronically ill children through diverse product offerings.

Serrao is confident that Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care’s infrastructure and leadership team will provide a smooth transition for Soft Touch’s clients and staff.

“We are excited to welcome the team at Soft Touch Medical to the Thrive SPC team and look forward to working with the patients and families in Alabama and Georgia,” said Serrao.
