Available in Arizona
In April of 2022, the Board of Nursing and Arizona State Medicaid approved a new Family Caregiver program known as the Family Licensed Health Aide (FLHA) Program to support families with children in the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) who have skilled needs. The program provides a path for qualified family caregivers to become licensed and paid to provide some skilled care (e.g., bathing, grooming, meal prep, oral and nail care, medication administration, tracheoscopy care, G-Tube Feeding, and range of motion exercises) to their children aged 21 or younger.
This program will improve access to and quality of care for medically fragile children by allowing their family members to become licensed caregivers, operating under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Thrive SPC will train and pay you to be a part of your child’s care team at home. We would love to help get you started and guide you throughout the process of becoming a Licensed Health Aide.
