National leader in pediatric home health care provides care in 9 states

Wichita, KansasThrive Skilled Pediatric Care, a national provider of clinical home care for medically fragile children, has acquired the pediatric business of Progressive Home Health & Hospice. Progressive will continue to provide adult home health and palliative and hospice care.

Progressive has been serving medically fragile children and others in Kansas for more than 20 years.

“Progressive has an excellent reputation for providing high quality home care in the area. It caught our attention as we looked to expand in Kansas,” said Greg Serrao, chairman, president, and CEO of Thrive. “Our singular focus on pediatric care allows us to provide comprehensive service and support to the children and families that were previously served by Progressive. Also, this acquisition allows us to increase our capacity in Kansas and serve more children needing in-home care.”

Thrive’s purpose is to provide high quality clinical home care to medically fragile children so they can grow and flourish to their full potential. Founded in 2016, its goal is to be the provider of choice for parents, doctors, and referral sources, as well as the employer of choice for in-home clinical care providers, per Serrao.

“We are happy to have the nurses from Progressive join our team and very honored to welcome its pediatric patients and families to the Thrive family,” said Serrao. “Our compassionate commitment to clinical excellence and our dedicated team will provide a smooth transition for these children, allowing them to continue to grow and flourish to their full potential.”

Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care also provides care and services in Arizona, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, New Mexico, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. In the past year, it has expanded its services to offer respiratory therapy, home medical equipment, and enteral nutrition, as well as in-home durable medical equipment and services in some locations. Thrive intends to provide the full complement of pediatric services and equipment at many of its locations over time.
