Albuquerque, New MexicoThrive Skilled Pediatric Care, a national provider of clinical home care for medically fragile children, has acquired the pediatric business of FootPrints Home Care. FootPrints will continue to provide care for seniors.

FootPrints has been serving medically fragile children covered by several New Mexico waiver programs since 2008. It has become one of the top providers of this service in the state.

“FootPrints Home Care’s excellent reputation as a high quality provider of pediatric home care in the area caught our attention as we looked to expand into New Mexico,” said Greg Serrao, chairman, president, and CEO of Thrive. “Our singular focus on pediatric care allows us to provide comprehensive service and support to the children and families that were previously served by FootPrints, as well as additional children needing in-home care.”

Thrive’s purpose is to provide high quality clinical home care to medically fragile children so they can grow and flourish to their full potential. Founded in 2016, its goal is to be the provider of choice for parents, doctors, and referral sources, as well as the employer of choice for in-home clinical care providers, per Serrao.

“We are happy to have the nurses and other providers from FootPrints join our team and very honored to welcome its pediatric patients and families to the Thrive family,” said Serrao. “Our compassionate commitment to clinical excellence and our dedicated team will provide a smooth transition for these children, allowing them to continue to grow and flourish to their full potential.”

Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care also provides care and services in Arizona, Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. In the past year, it has expanded its services to offer respiratory therapy, home medical equipment, and enteral nutrition, as well as in-home durable medical equipment and services in some locations. Thrive intends to provide the full complement of pediatric services and equipment at all its locations over time.
