Thrive SPC seeks a Senior Human Resources Specialist to join our team. We are looking for a person who wants to make a difference in the lives of the children in our care by supporting the team that provides that care. The ideal candidate has experience in all HR disciplines including new hire onboarding and administration, employee relations, training, and general HR operations and benefits administration. This is a remote position.
Our ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years HR Generalist experience required.
- Experience providing HR consultation to managers and employees on matters including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation, and HR/employment practices and policies.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to employment, compensation, and employee relations.
- Demonstrated success in multi-tasking while managing changing priorities.
- Demonstrated success managing projects and driving process improvement.
- Abilities and desire to get things done.
- Experience providing HR consultation to managers and employees on matters including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, compensation, and HR/employment practices, day-to-day people operations and policies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including program development and presentation skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with training or facilitating learning of new hires.
- Knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws.
- Comfort with usage of or learning to use various data and project management technologies (Task Management tools, Sharepoint, MS Teams, SmartSheet, OneNote, etc.).
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment with highly confidential information.
- Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and handle whatever is needed to serve our team members and patients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage HR policies. Ensure policies are current, comply with required regulations, and are effectively communicated to all stakeholders. Research, develop, write, and update policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines as needed. Provide training on SOPs to facilitate learning and appropriate application of HR policies and protocols. Deliver exceptional customer service to the field and National Resource Center (NRC) Team members.
- Educate teammates on the importance of a performance culture and the tools that support it, such as performance evaluations, succession planning, development plans, disciplinary plans, and salary planning.
- Coach and advise management teams on compensation-related tools and matters, such as use of the internal market guide, hiring, promotions, and equity adjustments.
- Assist in the management of employee relations matters.
- Conduct new employee orientation, exit interviews, and handles various employee on-boarding, training, and off-boarding responsibilities.
- Assist in the building and delivery of internal processes.
- Respond to employee questions and serve as a resource for employees and managers.
- Document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned HR processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
