Job Description

Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care is seeking a Clinical Patient Care Consultant in the Marietta area.  We are seeking someone to represent Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care in activities that require professional contact with physicians, nurses, hospitals/facilities, professional associations, and other health-related groups and institutions, to apprise them of the availability, scope, and positive clinical impact of Thrive SPC’s Home Medical Equipment (HME) services.

Minimum Hiring Requirements of the Clinical Patient Care Consultant are:

  • Graduate of AMA approved school for Respiratory Therapists; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Registered by NBRC or be registry eligible with pediatric patient care experience
  • 3 years of consultatory sales experience, preferably in in-home care or health care services
  • 3 years of respiratory therapy experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • 2 years of pediatric home care respiratory experience, preferred 
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute a sales and marketing plan
  • Current Tuberculin skin test
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing

The Primary responsibilities of the Clinical Patient Care Consultant are:

  • Conduct market analysis; develop growth strategy, goals, and plans; conduct sales calls; and evaluate results and effectiveness of in-service activities
  • Clinical education of Referrals
  • Meet or exceed role metrics (monthly, quarterly, and annual goals)
  • Support business development activities and help establish strong relationships with new and existing referral sources
  • Conduct ongoing meetings with referral sources and other applicable health professionals to monitor quality assurance issues and facilitate education regarding payor source guidelines and Thrive SPC services
  • Implement new Thrive SPC programs and protocols with the goal of providing higher quality clinical services, improving internal and external communication, and addressing concerns or problem areas raised by clients, families, physicians, and other entities receiving services
  • Participate in community education functions, such as public speaking at community group meetings or awareness events and provide education on pediatric home health services available through Thrive SPC as appropriate
  • Coordinate with referral sources and locations to ensure the necessary documentation is obtained and completed
  • Partner with directors of sales and operations, clinical leadership, and area manager team for direction, problem solving, territory challenges or concerns, and implementation of selling
  • Research, design, and provide respiratory information to patients, caregivers and physicians
  • Participate in improving performance process using “high tech” equipment for complex respiratory patients
  • Perform clinical duties as Registered Respiratory Therapist where required
  • Other duties as assigned
